Bridging Futures: A Transformative Workshop on Black Entrepreneurship and Visionary ThinScenes
On November 27th, Q-BEKH, the Office of Community Engagement and District 3 innovation center brought together a diverse cohort of change-makers for the Foresight Bridging Futures Workshop—an immersive experience that redefined how we approach community, entrepreneurship, and future-building.
The workshop was a showpiece in collective imagination and critical reflection. Participants—ranging from social workers and freelance creatives to PhD students—engaged in deeply introspective exercises that challenged conventional thinking. By examining their current work, community dynamics, and support systems, attendees were invited to deconstruct existing narratives and envision radical alternative futures.
The most powerful moments emerged when participants were challenged to imagine worlds where their current "truths" no longer held. This approach not only sparked conversation, but it ignited a collective reimagining of what's possible for Black entrepreneurship and community development.
